New Orleans Center for Creative Arts
New Orleans Center for Creative Arts is Louisiana's premier arts conservatory for high school students. The Center's Artist-Teacher faculty members provide high school students with intensive, professional instruction in creative writing, dance, media arts, classical instrumental music, jazz, vocal, drama, musical theater, theater design, and visual arts. NOCCA's programs are offered tuition-free to all Louisiana students who meet audition requirements.
Created by the Orleans Parish School Board in 1973, the center is now an agency of the state of Louisiana servicing students from more than 100 public, private, parochial, and home-partner schools. Credit for coursework at NOCCA|Riverfront carries honors-weighted elective credit for high school graduation.
Fifty NOCCA students will be at the conference. You can sign up to mentor and show them around SIGGRAPH 2009 on Wednesday, 5 August. To sign up, complete this form.
