Birds of a Feather events are proposed by SIGGRAPH Asia 2012 attendees. They must be free of charge, related to computer graphics or interactive techniques, open to all SIGGRAPH Asia 2012 conference attendees, and non-commercial in nature (topics specific to one commercial product or for-profit company are not allowed).

In the beginning, companies competed to showcase the most amazing simulations and graphics on the screen. Now most of the VFX technology has become commodity and the industry is attempting to accomplish the same quality quicker, more flexibly and with less resources. In this session artists, engineers, and producers can share their knowledge and experiences on how to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of production pipelines. During the event there will be two brief presentations to kick off focused discussion.
