The ACM SIGGRAPH Awards program recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the computer graphics community through their research, teaching, service, or writing. This year, ACM SIGGRAPH will recognize six individuals whose impressive achievements have more than earned them the awards they'll accept on stage at SIGGRAPH 2017.

Whether or not you'll be joining us at SIGGRAPH 2017, you can access much of the conference content online, including streaming video of sessions and unabridged copies of technical papers and posters. This information has been made publicly available by ACM SIGGRAPH as a service to the computer graphics community.
"Immersive Expressions: Virtual Reality on the Web" is a brand new, online art exhibit presented by the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community. The exhibit explores the web browser as a medium for work at the intersection of creative expression and virtual reality.
In the field of computer graphics, like many other industries, there are far more men than women. This disparity only increases when we look toward more technical areas and positions. Recently, Aruquia Peixoto (ACM SIGGRAPH International Resources representative for Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East) met with members of the ACM-W Council to talk about ways to recognize and amplify the voices of the ACM SIGGRAPH female community.
ACM SIGGRAPH began in 1974 as a small group of specialists in a previously unknown discipline and has evolved to become an international community of researchers, artists, developers, filmmakers, scientists, and business professionals who share an interest in computer graphics and interactive techniques.
