Kaidan: Japanese Horror Experience in Interactive Mixed Reality
This novel demonstration provides the ultimate nightmare experience. Virtual ghosts depicted by first-of-its-kind technology, scary sounds, and visual mixed-reality experiences attack visitors in a dark, spooky Japanese room. Ghosts are luridly dramatized using relighting techniques, and visitors are terrified by various gimmicks in the room. Wearing a head-mounted-display and earphones, visitors see and hear screaming ghosts in an old Japanese home. When the ghosts attack, visitors fight back with a sword device. In another scenario, visitors can use the sword device to become a heroic samurai warrior in an action movie.
