Educators Program: Review & Upon Acceptance

Review Process
Each submission will be reviewed and juried. Evaluation is based on content, clarity, appropriateness, and innovation in the use of computer graphics or interactive techniques in teaching and learning. A large part of the review process is deciding if the work fits into our vision for the Educators Program. If your work is not accepted, that is not necessarily a reflection on its quality.

Abstracts and proposals should contain sufficient detail to assure reviewers that your work is high quality, innovative, inspiring, and of interest to attendees. Accepted submitters will be notified by email in August.

Upon Acceptance
In order to create the most worthwhile experience for our presenters and attendees, the jury may ask a presenter to move a submission to a different area. For example, multiple submissions on the same or similar topics, or submissions with opposing points of view may be put together into a Panel.

This type of change is not a reflection on the quality of the submission. It is motivated only by our desire to present the best possible program.

If your submission is accepted by SIGGRAPH Asia 2009, an Acceptance Agreement will be produced from the Permissions section of your online submission form. You must digitally sign this document within two weeks after submission. If we do not receive your completed, signed Acceptance Agreement, your work cannot be presented at SIGGRAPH Asia 2009. See Upon Acceptance for more information

Publication
Brief summaries of accepted Educators Program work will be published first on the SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 web site. Original papers and extended abstracts from Educators Program presentations will appear in the SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 Full Conference DVD-ROM. In addition, papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. Due to publication limitations, the maximum length for Education Papers is eight pages (8,000 words); for Panels, two pages (1,500 words); and for Workshops, two pages (1,500 words).

If your submission is accepted, you will be asked to prepare a PDF file formatted according to ACM SIGGRAPH publication guidelines, so that it can be used directly in the digital publications.

Accepted presentations that exceed these limits and supplemental materials (including images, web pages, applets, curriculum, and other instructional resources) can be made available by presenters and may be published in the Full Conference DVD-ROM and ACM Digital Library.
